Splurge – Have gorgeous garlands strung across the pews, or individual chair-back arrangements. Have flowers for the altar, where the register is signed, and have a floral cushion for the rings.
Spend – Order decorations in special foam holders, for the front two and back two pews, or for alternate rows. Pedestals as you enter the Church and next to the altar can be moved to the reception.

            Venue
Choose colours to match the interior, or stick with your theme for
              Table decorations

Splurge – For a glamorous wedding, tall vases or mirror pillars will look fabulous on the tables with flowers cascading from the top. Candelabras also look stunning, and ensure there's no flowers at eye level so your guests can see each other over the table easily. Scatter flower petals over the table, or give each guest an individual mini plant like a rose or kalanchoe as a place setting to take home with them.
Spend – Your florist will be happy to transfer the pew-ends from your ceremony into table centres for the reception and move the pedestals, too. You could also consider hiring long vases from your florist and fill with a single, stunning flower, like a lily, amaryllis or orchid.
Save – Ask your florist for plants in gorgeous containers to decorate the tables. If you're really tightening the purse strings, then you can hire the pots and just buy the plants. For spring weddings, try scented jasmine plants. For summer, try anthurium plants for a tropical twist, or hydrangea plants for a country cottage look. You could also try herbs and lavender for a Continental look, or Begonia for a Mediterranean look. Choose or hire tall plants to replace pedestals.
            Top table

Splurge – Have disco balls of flowers hung above the table, and candelabras placed either side. Choose a long, trailing arrangement to be placed  in front of the bride and groom.
Spend – have a long, low arrangement, using the same flowers used in the table decorations.
Save – have a simple foliage garland, or even branches of foliage or flowers that can be left happily out of water, like callas, tulips, orchids and amaryllis, scattered along the table.
