A Fanfare

Place a couple of Guzmanias together and the party starts. The pointy bracts (the coloured leaves that look like flowers) stick out above the green leaves like an exuberant trumpet fanfare. The bright colours instantly brighten a room, livening up even the most neutral decor. Guzmania likes a warm and damp indoor climate (and therefore also thrives in the kitchen), and needs only moderate watering and a light spot.
