Simplicity

This exquisite plant grows in South East Asia and takes its name from the Greek phalaina (butterfly) because of the shape of the flowers. That explains its common name, Moth Orchid.

With the pale yellow flower heads balancing on top of slim wavering stems, this plant speaks for itself. Keep them in high humidity, regular, moderate watering using cooled boiled water, a light position but no long term exposure to bright sunlight. Given the right conditions the phalaenopsis can flower for months on end.
