Waterfall
The tumbling tendrils of the Tillandsia usneoides, commonly
known as Spanish moss, give it the gushing look of a waterfall. It is best appreciated
placed on a shelf or hung up high from a ceiling so that its leaves can cascade
gently downwards. In (sub) tropical America, Tillandsias grow on rocks, tree
trunks and houses, even in places where you won't find a single grain of soil!
The plant uses its roots only to get a firm grip on the surface where it wants
to grow; the leaves draw all the moisture and nutrients the plant needs from the
air. They love to be sprayed with soft water regularly.Fern
