Name - Pronounced KAY-rex, the common names are Japanese sedge or
marsh grass.Description - Narrow-leaved grass which grows in the
wild closely together in tufts or clumps. Origin -Temperate

- From the vast family of sedges, which has over 1,500 species growing wild in
temperate climates. Only a few species with variegated leaves are cultivated as
house plants. Two varieties of Carex morrowii available as pot plants are 'Variegata'
(with white stripes) and 'Evergold' (with yellow stripes).Care Tips
- Easy to grow, it likes a bright but cool position and a high level of humidity.
Water regularly and feed every month in spring and summer. Do not place near radiators
or other sources of direct heat. Trivia - Carex is one of
the most durable of foliage plants, growing happily in sun or shade, low temperatures
and in moist compost. A bathroom is an ideal spot.
