  • Name - Look for Adiantum - Maidenhair fern; Asplenium – birds' nest fern; Nephrolepis – Boston fern; Pteris – ribbon fern
  • Origin - Usually tropical areas such as Australia, Philippines
  • History - Ferns are among the oldest plants known, like living fossils; and were very popular with Victorians who built special gardens indoors and out to house their collections.
  • Care Tips - On the whole, ferns like damp air more than damp soil – regular misting is beneficial. Don't use leaf shine on the plants.
