Venus fly trap
Name - Dionaea muscipula is better known as Venus fly trap, and is
pronounced dye-OWN-ay-a, Description - Small rosette-forming,
insect-eating plants with heart-shaped leaves fringed with teeth, that snap when
touched.Origin - South and North Carolina, USA Family
- Droseraceae (sundew)Care Tips - It thrives in a bright but cool,
damp spot with a lot of humidity. A difficult plant to grow indoors as conditions
must be as close as possible to its natural habitat (mossy and marshy surroundings),
in order for the plant to thrive.
