Amorous Anthuriums (and other tropical titillations...)

St Valentine's Day - 14 February

You know the Valentine's Day dilemma - sometimes a dozen roses just doesn't make the impact you'd like. Sometimes you want something a little different - to let your loved one know what a wild, unpredictable, free spirit you really are. Well, the Flowers & Plants Association have just the flowers for you!

If you really want to get your message across, declare your undying lust with some saucy stems of anthurium. It comes in beautiful bright colours - white, pink, lime green - or for full-on impact, lipstick red.

Its unusual appearance - a huge glossy heart, surrounding what can only be described as a phallic beacon - leaves no doubt as to your intentions! The best part is, if handled carefully they keep going a long, long, time - well over two weeks of full satisfaction.

The F&PA suggests combining the amazing anthurium with gorgeous gloriosa - commonly called flame lilies - which makes it the perfect passionate gift for your old or new flame! Just sit back and watch the temperature rise...
