Fashion Flowers For Spring
The New Collection: Soft Focus

In spring, white and yellow flowers seem to promise everyone better things to come.

White is the colour of transition and purity and yellow represents stimulation and new beginnings. As we bid farewell to the last spring before the millennium, we can mark this transition most appropriately with pure, bright flowers, which celebrate the energy and vitality of life.

The styles are bold, upright, almost naughty: chincherinchee or ranunculus in tall bundles or cut very short and displayed like dishes of delicious gourmet food. The cheerful blooms of irises, freesia, tulips, and anemones can be arranged in informal bouquets, which speak of the new life all around us.

The yellows can be like pale winter sunshine, through to the warmer hues of sunshine on the first mild days of spring. All yellow flowers aptly reflect the optimistic mood of the season with natural exuberance and beauty.

We find unpretentious all-white bouquets, improvised monochrome arrangements, almost as if the flowers have manoeuvred themselves into the most favourable positions to catch the sun. Light and heavy textures of whites, yellows and greens contrast with each other and different perfumes vie for our attention.
