Flower Power

This is the flower every child draws: a centre surrounded by petals. However simple the Gerbera may look, it is a sophisticated flower and comes in many different colours. This orange flower with its black centre is the traditional one, but potted Gerbera also come in bright pink, red, yellow and white. Remember that the plant will need more water in an indoor climate. Remove any dead flowers. The plant will flower longest in a well lit spot.
