A dense mound of chrysanthemum blooms rises above a collar of Euphorbia fulgens, wrapped around the neck of a heavy purple vase. For dramatic shape as well as warm orange colour, try birds of paradise (Strelitzia) en masse - like a flamboyant cockscomb.
