Bronze, rust, pale pink and flesh tones combine in a vase of delicately-marked
Paphiopedilum orchids. Cymbidium orchids have similar waxy petals,
in pink and bronze, marked with embroidery-like details. One pink
chrysanthemum head adds contrast. The trumpet-like vase shape, with
its metallic worn patina, and the rich pink hanging tassels help
define the Byzantine look and echo the unusual colours of the flowerheads.
