Resilient & Exuberant
This green mop head on a straight stem is also known as elephant's
foot because of its fat young trunk; or ponytail palm for even more obvious reasons.
It continues to grow into a slim trunk that serves the plant as a water reservoir,
allowing Nolina to mostly control its own water supply. Mexico is its native country
and the plant still likes a spot with plenty of light or even full sun. The root
ball can be kept fairly dry: it can always call up reserves from its trunk. >>
